Hoofprints in the Snow


Winter at 8000 feet can be quite brutal. Once, Gary had to rent a snowblower just to make Dry Valley accessible because we had over 4 feet of snow on the ground and couldn't make it out to the road. But no matter what the temperature, nothing deterred the girls from their daily ride. I have pictures to prove it!

Just imagine, sitting in that beautiful windowed living room, looking out to Escudilla, watching the blizzard and listening to the crackling fire in the Earth Stove...the sounds of Suzuki piano being practiced, a pot of soup brewing in the kitchen, a yummy book in the lap. Yes, there are many things I miss about Nutrioso...
